Introduction

1.1. The World Sports Betting Tropika Island of Treasure Predictor Competition (Competition) will be run by World Sports Betting Franchise (Pty) Ltd (WSB/we/us/our).

1.2. Each person entering the Competition (entrant/you/your) and/or accepting the prize in terms of this Competition agrees and accepts that the Competition rules as set out in these terms and conditions are binding on him/her.

Competition Period

2.1. The Competition will commence on 28 September 2024 and will close at 18h30 on 14 December 2024 (Competition Period). Any entries received after the Competition Period will not be considered.

2.2. WSB reserves the right (in its sole discretion) to extend, shorten, or suspend the Competition Period, or to terminate the Competition for technical, commercial, and/or operational reasons, or for reasons beyond its control.

Who can enter

3.1. To be eligible to enter the Competition:

3.1.1. you must be a legal, permanent resident or citizen of the Republic of South Africa;

3.1.2. you must be at least 18 years of age; and

3.1.3. you must be a natural person (e.g. not a company, close corporation, trust or other similar legal entity).

3.2. Notwithstanding clause 3.1, you are not eligible to enter this Competition if:

3.2.1. you are a director, member, partner, employee, agent of, or consultant to WSB, or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by WSB;

3.2.2. you are an immediate family member of any of the persons specified in clause 3.2.1; or

3.2.3. you are a supplier of goods or services in connection with the Competition.

How to Enter

4.1. To enter the Competition, you need to go to https://wsbwinners.co.za/ (or click the link on our website), enter your information in the required fields and predict which of the 7 teams who are competing in Tropika Island of Treasure season 11 will win the season.

4.2. You may only submit one entry for this Competition.

How the winner will be determined

5.1. All correct predictions from valid entries will be included in a random draw to determine one winner.

5.2. We will notify the winner by contacting the winner directly through the contact information provided by the winner on his/her entry to request a copy of the winner’s Identification Document (ID) (as required in accordance with Regulation 11 (6) (o) of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008) and any further information that may be required at our discretion to validate the winner’s entry. If the winner is not contactable within 48 hours after the first attempt to contact the winner and after 3 attempts have been made to contact the winner, or if the winner fails to provide the requested information within 48 hours from being requested to do so, or if we determine in our sole discretion that the winner was not eligible to enter and/or win a prize in the Competition in accordance with these terms and conditions, the winner will forfeit the prize and have no claim against us and we shall be entitled to select a different winner at our sole discretion.

5.3. The winner will be announced on the World Sports Betting social media pages by 23 December 2024.

The Prize

6.1. The winner will receive a cash prize of R50 000 (the Prize), which will be subject to the following conditions:

6.1.1. The winner will be required to provide a bank confirmation letter for a South African bank account, into which the Prize should be paid, within 14 (fourteen) days from being requested to do so, failing which, the Prize may be forfeited at the sole discretion of WSB. Cardova Trading (Pty) Ltd will pay the Prize into the winner’s nominated bank account by 31 January 2025.

6.1.2. The Prize does not include any other items that are not specifically stated herein.

6.1.3. The Prize is not transferrable and may not be exchanged for any other items.

General

7.1. Any reference to WSB includes the directors, members, partners, agents or consultants of WSB, where the context allows for it.

7.2. We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

7.3. WSB’s decision regarding any matter concerning the Competition and/or arising out of these terms and conditions, including the determination of the winner, is final and no correspondence will be entered into except where otherwise provided for in the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.

7.4. Where relevant, if a winner does not accept the Prize as required herein, if an entry is not valid for whatever reason, if a winner has breached these terms and conditions, if a winner renounces the Prize or we deem such winner to have renounced the Prize, we reserve the right to declare the Prize forfeited and/or to choose a new winner.

7.5. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the entrants or WSB in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.

7.6. You are required to attend to the cost for your entry, including standard internet costs.

7.7. By entering this Competition, the entrant consents to the collection, processing and further processing of his or her personal information (including personal information contained in electronic communications) by us for the purposes of conducting this Competition and facilitating the entrant’s participation in the Competition. Except where prohibited by law or where objected to by the individual at any time, the winner grants permission for us and those acting under our authority to use his or her name, image, and or voice for purposes of announcing the winner and related advertising purposes, in any form of media and without additional compensation, notification or permission. A winner may at any time decline an invitation use, or object to the use of, his/her image in marketing material.

7.8. By entering the Competition, the entrant unconditionally and irrevocably indemnifies and holds harmless WSB, as well as its holding company, its subsidiaries and any subsidiaries of its holding company, and their successors and assigns, directors, employees, agents or consultants against all and any losses, claims, proceeding, actions, damages (direct, consequential or otherwise), liability, demands, expenses, legal costs (on an attorney and own client basis), injuries howsoever arising out of, based upon, or in connection with (directly or indirectly) the entrant’s participation in the Competition and or the use of the Prize. By accepting the Prize, the winner accepts the Prize at his/her own risk.

7.9. WSB and its service providers, are not responsible for any technical failure that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted and/or selected.

7.10. If required by the Minister of Trade and Industry, the National Consumer Commission or for whatever other reason, we will have the right to modify or terminate this Competition with immediate effect and without notice of such modification or termination. In such event, all entrants hereby waive any rights, which they may have against us and hereby acknowledge that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against us.

7.11. We may require the entrant to provide his/her name, proof of address, identity number and/or cell number to enable us to verify the entry.

7.12. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant suspected of fraud or cheating, including without limitation, through the manipulation of code or otherwise falsifying data.

How it works
6 Games will be available to play on https://wsbwinners.co.za/ from the following dates (i.e. the first game will be available from 5 October and thereafter a new game will become available each week):

18:30 on 12 October 2024
18:30 on 16 November 2024
18:30 on 23 November 2024
18:30 on 30 November 2024
18:30 on 7 December 2024

To enter the Competition, you need to: –

4.2.1 register an account on https://wsbwinners.co.za/ (or click the link on our website) *Note that this is a profile on WSBWINNERS.CO.ZA only, to allow players to play the games, and is not linked to a WSB account. Players do not need a WSB Account to play the Tropika games.

4.2.2 play the games when they become available to earn points on the Leaderboard,

Each of the six games will feature its own HighScores leaderboard, displaying the highest scores achieved by players for that game.
You may play each of the 6 games multiple times during the Competition Period.
The best score from the player’s first ten attempts at each of the 6 games will count towards the HighScores on the leaderboard per game.
The player with the highest score on each game’s leaderboard at the closing time for the Competition will be the winner of that game and will receive a R10 000 cash prize (subject to 4.7 below).
In the event of a tie, where multiple players achieve the same high score on the leaderboard for a game, the cash prize for that game will be shared among the ted winners.

Confirmation of winners and announcements
We will notify each winner by contacting the winner directly through the contact information provided by the winner on his/her entry to request a copy of the winner’s Identification Document (ID) and any further information that may be required at our discretion to validate the winner’s entry. Each winner will receive a cash prize of R10 000 (Prize), which will be subject to the following conditions:

6.1.1 The winner will be required to provide a bank confirmation letter for a South African bank account, into which the Prize should be paid, within 14 (fourteen) days from being requested to do so, failing which, the Prize may be forfeited at the sole discretion of WSB. Cardova Trading (Pty) Ltd will pay the Prize into the winner’s nominated bank account by 28 February 2025.
